Overview
The current design of the Nest thermostat lacks features that contribute to a positive atmosphere, hindering employee satisfaction and well-being.
Our task as UX designers was to spearhead a spinoff, infusing the relaunch of the product with a friendly and cheerful aesthetic tailored for office environments.
My role
I led team coordination, timelines, and overall project direction. I ensured alignment across the team and kept the workflow clear, focused, and efficient.
I defined system logic and key user interactions across the device and app. I translated insights into features.

A comprehensive usability study to identify barriers and re-engage users with the app’s core value.
We conducted testing processes that included blind surveys, task performance evaluations, and navigation pattern analysis with a diverse group of target users.
My role
Led the usability testing of Apple Health by developing a comprehensive test plan focused on evaluating how effectively users could complete key health-related tasks.
Designed and facilitated testing sessions with participants, gathering both behavioral observations and verbal feedback.

This 10-week project involved three stages: moodboarding for an assigned vision, developing proposals for all three concepts, and the I will showcase in this case study, working in teams to develop the whole ecosystem for the final assigned vision.
